Looking back on 2011 is alarming. Can you believe the damages and issues that Hurricane Irene caused? Some areas in New York were completed flooded out! As 2012 arrives, we cannot help but think about the stigma attached to it. Have you seen the movie 2012? It’s scary! While we understand that the crazy weather is only a myth, we can still see these natural disasters taking place year after year. The bottom line: homeowners can never be too careful or protected. The weather is unexpected, which is why we offer reliable NY flood insurance.

Flood insurance is not a part of your typical homeowners insurance policy. This policy must be added on separately. However, just because it is separate, does not mean it should be ignored. Without flood insurance, NY residents would have to face flood damages alone.

If you choose to ignore flood insurance, you will be stuck with:

•    Damage costs to the structure of your home- this could be thousands of dollars worth of damages!

•    No coverage for the loss of personal possessions.

•    No coverage for valuables that are affected by mold and contamination.

•    No replacement cost coverage.

As you can see, these flood issues would not be easy to deal with on your own. You may end up owing hundreds, or even thousands of dollars worth of damages! With 2012 coming, we believe that NY flood insurance is the only option. It is much better to be safe now than sorry later!
